I've never turned on the ignore sync conflicts and I routinely sync my 
contacts (iSync) and calendar (Oracle Calendar) at the same time and 
have never had a conflict arise.  iSync has the datebook turned off and 
Oracle has the contacts turned off.  I've never gotten a message that 
there is a conflict.
