That is correct. So are you suggesting that b5 may have come up with a
software bug with password protected Palm units?

Presently I can sync with 4.0.2b3, although there's a start-up bug of MS
when Hotsync is initiated from the Dock. Regularly I have to startup the
Hotsync on the Dock's side and then manually click on MissingSync app icon
in the OS X dock to assist in the process. The proper sync process
(appearance of the progress window) would only start after 3-4
click-start-crash cycles as seen in the OS X dock.
