[missing-sync-palmos-talk] ebooks &Adobe problem

I downloaded some eBooks in .PDF and can't get them transfered to my 
Palm Tungsten3, When I tried the "Install Handheld Files" window of 
Palm Desktop the error message I get says the ebooks could not be 
loaded on the Palm because there was not an app to read them??? Adobe 
Reader 3.05 is on my Palm and should read the encrypted ebook. I get 
the same message when I try to install them on the SD card.

Any help would be appreciated,
