This seems to be a limitation of the Apple-provided "iSync Conduit". I
was very frustrated until I realized this because I was experiencing
100's of duplicate calendar events on my Tungsten E and iCal every time
I iSync'd them. The duplicate calendar entries differed only in
category. Now I have only 1 category on my iCal: "Palm". On the Palm I
have about half-a-dozen categories, all color-coded. And I no longer
get duplicates when I iSync. (Although I own Stevens Creek Software's
excellent unDupe for Palm OS should duplicates rear their head in the
future.)
I'm still hoping for an Apple-provided iSync conduit that works with
Palm OS 5's calendar categories - but I am not holding my breath.
iSync works reliably for me now, and I at least have color-coded
categories on my Tungsten E which is where I need them the most due to
Palm's smaller display.
