Hi, all...hope somebody can give me a clue out there.  (For the record, 
I am _not_ a computer or Mac newbie... been a local-area Mac 'guru' 
since 1987, hardware and software alike).  Running an office iMac under 
10.2.8....

- Wanted to get AvantGo content on my Zire71.  Everybody around 
recommended 'Missing Sync' over and over.  Finally bought it today, 
downloading it to get it quickly.  Dutifully installed.  That was three 
hours ago.  I've been fiddling with it, following the *very sparse* 
user's manual...and nothing, repeat, NOTHING, works.  Can't get my SD 
card to mount.  Says 'connected' on the Zire, but nada on the Mac 
screen....iPhoto won't send to it ('cuz it needs the card mounted)... 
iTunes same thing...oh, and for AvantGo?  Forget it.  Keep getting 
'DNS' errors.

Yes, I've double-checked all the settings (nine times, by current 
count).

I'm really a very happy-go-lucky guy, but this really stinks so far.  
Checked the FAQs... no more information than in the manual.  Heck, I'd 
just like an _overview_ so I know what in the jujubes I bought, and how 
it differs from the free hacks for Avantgo.  Hey, at least I got those 
to _run_ for a while.

Please, oh, please, Dorothy a la mode...anyone out there who can give 
me some much-needed insight?  If this can't run, I also can't get my 
money back.......
