Hello,
Seems to be a quiet list :-)
Trying to share my internet connection on the mac (G4, mac os 10.3.4)
and a few softwarres running together usually nicely ..
Share does not work, and it screws up the treo, that was yesterday.
Today mac shows me an advice to restart my computer by holding the
power key for a long time. What i did ...
Back to the mac I went to the console.app, and found there things that
could explain some troubles in the start log :
> Jul 6 22:31:36 localhost SystemStarter: Demarrage des services
> internet
> Jul 6 22:31:36 localhost ConsoleMessage: Starting Internet address

could it be there the trouble ?

I don't know much about that CrashReporter, will have to see that
tomorrow ..

About the treo side it is rather curious : everything seems to start
fine, hands shake strongly, I got an IP adress 192.168.206.206 with a
gateway at the known mac IP adress 192.168.123.100 and there is a
service open named MissinSync.
Everything's all right.
But it does not works :
Connection won't be establish with the pop server neither with the
web-server (white page in the browser). Yesterday I got once the page
of the router on the lan at 192.168.123.254, but no more.
The odd thing is that today I connected through my GPRS connection. It
started fine as well and died the same bad way : connected with an IP
adress, but unable to get any service. And that time it's no more
MissingSync fault.
But the only way I know to make things work again is to do a hard
reset. Because I did one yesterday morning, after my first tries ..
And will do until tomorrow morning again ...
I had one mail with Pete but it did not helped me very much, I send him
the screen shots of internet sharing preferences ...
For my point of view they looked fine, he did not say ...
If some body on this peacefull list as an idea ?
Thanks in advance
