[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Missing Sync will not configure Palm Conduit 1.2

I am new to this list today- because I am not too happy about the 
Missing Sync purchase unless I can get the iSync going for my iCal & 
Address Book with my .Mac account.

I have:
-eMac running 10.2.8
-bluetooth usb doo-hickey
-have installed and rerun Missing Sync v4.0 many times in a row today
-it does not show the contents on my SD card
-installed and see the the conduit for Palm v1.2- however, when I 
checked the conduit settings, tick the box for enable iSync with Palm 
device, no more choices ever appear.(see below)
-iSync does not see any Palm device
-I have a Palm TT3 on v5.2.1

Steps from the software readme...

1) Install Missing Sync for Palm OS Version 4
2) Install the iSync Palm conduit
3) Launch Missing Sync
4) In the Conduits panel, double-click iSync Palm Conduit
5) Select “Sync this Palm OS Device” – OK <<<< (stops here-jc)
6) Click the icon associated with your Palm OS device <<(nada)
7) Configure the settings for iCal and Address Book <<(nope)
8) Synchronize

What's a geek girl to do? Any tips would be appreciated.
