could anyone check something for me quickly on this so I can send a

backup (to be sure!)

create a new MacNoteTaker document. call it something: something else
(like 'Definitions: Education). the colon's the important bit...

use the command 'rename line 1'

What should happen is the colon should become a hyphen in the title
shown by MNT ("Definitions - Education").

sync and see if it works.


If that works, please rename the file "Definitions - Education" to
'Definitions: Education' within MNT and try again.

I think this is why it is failing but worth checking once again that I
am not experiencing some other local bug.


I am testing this against two macs, one with MS and one with PD/Hotsync
manager and getting rather erratic results...:-)
