Using Missing SYnc Mac OS /Palm 5 (treo 600) to access avantgo

First, the system prefs check box in avantgo does not appear to work
consistently

"refresh all content" is always unmarked when i go to it to check
prefs. So I check it. then do a synch that then doesn't work. I go back
to prefs and the check box is once again not checked. Do I have have to
check box each time?

The avantgo program establishes a link and sends stuff to the server
and then downloads and that countdown

but then all i get is the welcome page suggesting if my channels do not
appear try reyscnhing again (and again and again)

my sych history at avantgo website looks like this

I got rid of some of the chunkier channels but it still does not work
and my usage is only 500 of 2000 kb

I'd appreciate any advice or a faq that deals with avantgo directly.
