[missing-sync-palmos-talk] Now Contact syncing with Clie or Treo 650

I'm getting the same error messages when trying to sync my G4 iMac with my
Treo 650. It worked just fine on my Treo 600, but now it doesn't work.  I
worked with Now Software for some time trying to solve the problem and we
have not.  
I suspect it has something to do with the fact that my contact database is
rather large (6200+ contacts).  It doesn't appear to be a memory issue as
the Treo has plenty of space leftover.  The odd thing is after the failed
sync, all of the contacts actually make it to the Treo. The problem is the
sync doesn't complete properly and re-syncing causes duplicate contacts.
Now Software seems to think it has something to do with their conduit's
interaction with the new Treo but if you're having the problem on a Clie,
maybe that's not it.
I also know it's probably not the data itself as I exported and re-imported
everything twice. I don't use categories in the Contact database, so I
assume that's not part of the problem either.
How many contacts does your client have in Now?
