Somewhere on this list (you can check archives through
http://lists.markspace.com/mailman/listinfo/missing-sync-palmos-talk)
there have been several postings from people who've used NOW and were
"unimpressed".
Mostly it's "look and feel" issues, though I never got so far as trying
to set up NOW servers -- the reason I'm using Group Organizer is to
share calendar and contacts with my wife, so that's important. I
fiddled around with the NOW demo trying to get the sync set up with my
Palm, and it wasn't nearly as smooth as with Organizer. (For example,
it can't even figure out what categories are in Calendar, though it
seems to think it supports Palm categories.) Others have complained
about sorting, about field organization and sizes.
I actually got motivated to poke around a little more with NOW the
other day, but my demo period had run out. Deleting "the obvious stuff"
doesn't reset the demo period, and I'm not really motivated to work
harder at it.
Really, it sounds as if NOW is going to be the only practical or
affordable group calendar/contact software for Palm/Mac for a long
time. So if anyone has anything GOOD to say about NOW, I'd love to hear
it.
