In this SyncService folder:

   /Library/Application Support/SyncService/<your-account-number>/

Do you have the PalmConduitDefaults.plist and PalmConfiguration.txt
files?  Do you have the folder at all?

(That folder is part of the iSync internal database of the
devices to sync).

If you do have those files, if you could send their contents,
that would probably help.
