Thanks. I remember you demoing the "description" feature at PalmSource. I
look forward to implementing it.
And sorry about that Scott. I just did a scan of my inbox and see that back
on 8/31 you sent out (2) requests for testers. I probalby quickly read that
at the time and simply assumed that since I was already on the list for 4.0,
that 5.0 was automatic. I now see where it was a "sign up" type thing. No
wonder it's been so quite on my end ;-(
Congrats on the release.

No real "API" updates; there are a couple of plist entries you can make to
give a description of the conduit in the info pane (open up our conduits to
see) and there is a concept of "helper app" where an app icon appears next
to the conduit and clicking it will launch the app. This works with Cocoa
conduits (look at our conduit's ConduitInfo.plist files).
If you have an old conduit that has settings that don't use a sheet, now is
the time to upgrade (a few years ago, really was, but...).
Some of the conduits that are incompatible with version 5 (and some with
version 4) use old dialog routines which cause major refresh issues.
(BTW, we did post on this list and the general list for beta testers back in
July, I think.)
