This issue will be fixed in the next beta; it isn't an issue with 
UmGetUserTempSyncPreferences, it is an issue with how the conduit 
settings dialog is handled. The sample code won't change, but this 
issue should be resolved. (Another issue related to this will also be 
resolved.)
