[missing-sync-hiptop-talk] Missing synch for hiptop is working again!

All - after months and months of failed synchs (with no explanation -  
it worked great in 2005), Missing Synch for hiptop is working for me  
again after some serious debugging on my end. I have detailed my  
tweaks to get this working. Please check it out and let me know if it  
helps any of you who are currently struggling with the same problem.
