Normally I would ask to "stay on topic" for a situation like this,  
but I asked for a response from Mark/Space concerning continued  
development a long time ago and haven't heard back.

When MarkSpace was developing this product, there was another open- 
source project that did the same thing in progress. They discontinued  
work on it. I wonder if I can entice them to work on it again.
