Okay, there might be a solution to syncing your data. Do it at night, where
the high peak time is over for the Lame-o t-mobile service.
You can read below that they had for the PC version for those who are having
problems.

You could see the "unable to read application data" if you have over 1000
contacts and are trying to sync during peak daytime hours. Similarly, if you
receive a "server is unavailable" error during peak daytime hours, chances
are the network is busy. Try to sync during the evening off-peak hours.
Also, as you sync, pay attention to the details in the "Synchronization
Progress" windows to see if any particular application is creating a
problem. It could be that one of the items you are trying to import/export
is exceptionally large (for example a contact in Outlook may have a large
note or custom fields). You may have to edit the Outlook contact(s) slightly
to reduce the size.
