[missing-sync-hiptop-talk] calendar sync failure

Calendar fails to sync. I reset everything with the debug option and  
resync'd, and my address book went over fine, but new calendar items  
and To-Do's are not transferring. During the calendar sync I get this  
in the log, and then the app just hangs and sits there:
