All,

In the process of using the various beta releases you may want (or
need) to get back to a state that resets Missing Sync for hiptop.
This is especially helpful when troubleshooting a problem you may
have and especially useful when running a sync with a new beta build.

1. Backup all desktop data.
2. Be prepared to have all device data deleted (meaning back it up if
possible, or do something to make note of records that aren't on the
desktop).
3. Launch app and while holding down the option key choose Missing
Sync for hiptop:Debug Options menu item.
4. Click the "Unregister Sync Clients" button and confirm "Yes" in
the following alert dialog.
5. Click OK to close the preferences.
6. Click Sync Now. An alert will come up from the Sync Services
engine. Click the "Allow" button.

What this is going to do is force our app to become re-registered
with the sync engine, as if it had never synchronized before. In
doing so all records will be pushed from the device into the sync
engine where they will "mingle" with your Mac's data before being
pulled out of the engine back to the device. It is known as a slow
sync; all data is compared to try to avoid duplicates. It is a
lengthy process if you have a lot of data but definitely necessary to
ensure the integrity of the data.

If you are having problematic results when synchronizing I suggest
you try the above steps.

Report back to us with success or failure when doing the above to
solve a problem - it could reveal a pattern that is important to know
about.

Thanks!
b
