My experience was similar. It launches, logs in fine, but does not  
transfer calendar info. I did end up with two of each contact on my  
Sidekick indicating that the address book was copied over.

I have since zeroed out both the calendar and the address book on my  
Sidekick and synced, and no data at all has copied over.
