Hello,
We have just released a public beta of The Missing Sync for hiptop v2.0 for
Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" and Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther". This beta can be
installed over v1.0.x. If you do not already own version 1.0, then this beta
will function as a demo for 14 days.
IMPORTANT:
1. This is BETA software, and there may be things that don't work as
expected. Though Mark/Space has tested this product and we believe that it
will work for synchronizing your data, please protect yourself by backing up
your Address Book and iCal data before using this beta and often during use.
2a. Under Tiger, The Missing Sync for hiptop is now a STANDALONE
APPLICATION. It uses Tiger's Xsync/Sync Services engine, so it is no longer
part of iSync. Do not try to add the device or sync using iSync.
2b. Under Panther, launching the v2.0 beta of The Missing Sync for hiptop
application will offer to launch iSync and sync via the Panther-compatible
method. hiptop/Sidekick syncing in Panther is still done with iSync.
3. The new User's Guide is not yet finished or included.
4. There is a new Read Me ("hiptop ReadMe.rtf") in the folder containing the
DMG file that we strongly suggest you read. Now that version 2.0 is a
standalone application, there are significant differences.
5. Please leave feedback and report problems here:
<http://www.markspace.com/support/feedback_hiptop_beta.html>
If you have read all of the above and want to try it out, you may download
the software at <http://www.markspace.com/testing/>.
Thank you, and we hope that you enjoy the software.
Best regards,
Eric
