[missing-sync-hiptop-talk] I messed up

Charles,

This is a rather confusing aspect of Apple's Sync Services (XSync)
technology. Instead of everyone being a plugin to iSync (as we still
are on 10.3.9) Tiger requires us to be an application - known as a
Sync Client.

Sync Clients are really cool - multiple clients all talk to one
master database of information, synchronizing their changes with
everyone else. In theory this is great!

In practice, confusing messages like you saw make the experience less
than great. What is happening is that the sync engine is providing a
dialog asking if you'll allow our application to join the other
applications currently synchronizing contact and calendar data. By
choosing to not allow that to happen, the sync engine has taken us
off the list of allowable clients.

Of course, there is no direct way to get us back on the list. Here's
what you want to do:

Launch Missing Sync for hiptop. Hold down the option key, and choose
the "Missing Sync for hiptop" menu, "Debug options" to display some
advanced options.

Click on "Unregister Sync Clients" and Yes to accept the change.
Click OK to close the debug options.

At this point, with beta 4 of Missing Sync for hiptop, you'll crash.
That's OK. Its fixed for beta 5. Relaunch the application and sync -
you'll be asked to allow Missing Sync for hiptop to synchronize again.

Good luck.
