After letting my Hiptop sit for over an hour after a synch, it seems 
that the Hiptop finished processing my new calendar entries and I was 
able to finally open the Calendar application. I didn't have many 
calendar entries, so I have sympathy for you out there with hundreds or 
thousands of entries to process during and after a synch.
