Sorry to post again, but I have to make this clear:

the script only looks at name, company, phones and emails. If you have 
the upload tool merge that with what's on your device, I'd guess it 
will delete all other values for the matched contacts (i.e. it will 
delete addresses that you put into the device for that contact by 
hand).
