[missing-sync-hiptop-talk] Why no explanation from markspace?

I emailed markspace asking for an explanation for exactly what killed 
the deal... not surprisingly i received a response saying

" 'Unfortunately we have not been able to reach an agreement with 
Danger, and at this point are not expecting to.'
I am not in a position within the company to know more about the 
reasoning or areas of disagreement, but as you can imagine, 
negotiations are always pretty confidential anyway."

I guess I don't understand why its so confidential? Why cant we know 
what happened?
Not telling us what went wrong makes me think that it could still 
happen... or else what reason would markspace have for not telling us?  
Just company policy?
