1. UPDATE: Missing Sync for Palm OS 4.0.1
<http://www.markspace.com/downloads.html>
Mark/Space is pleased to announce the immediate availability of The
Missing Sync for Palm OS v4.0.1, a free update for all owners of
version 4.0. The 4.0.1 update fixes an issue introduced by Mac OS X
10.3.5, where trying to use The Missing Sync to mount a Sony CLIÉ
memory card on the Mac's desktop would cause a kernel panic.
This release also adds support for several conduits, including FMSync
and Vindigo, introduces a new menu bar icon that allows users to check
status and change settings, adds keychain support, improves support for
Tapwave Zodiac handhelds and includes a new version of the MemoPad
application with an updated UI and improved synchronization.
Mark/Space recommends that all owners of version 4.0 download and
install this free update, available from
<http://www.markspace.com/downloads.html>.
If you have NOT yet upgraded to version 4.0, you may upgrade from any
previous version of The Missing Sync for only $19.95. Just go to
<http://www.markspace.com/palmosupgrade.php>.

2. PATCH: Missing Sync for Sony CLIE 3.0.9 Patch for Mac OS X 10.3.5
<http://www.markspace.com/downloads.html>
Although The Missing Sync for Sony CLIÉ v3.0.9 is now a discontinued
product and Mark/Space hopes that customers will upgrade to The Missing
Sync for Palm OS v4 (our complete HotSync Manager replacement), we are
providing a patch for version 3.0.9 that fixes a problem mounting Sony
memory cards on the Mac OS X 10.3.5 desktop.
This patch is only for The Missing Sync for Sony CLIÉ v3.0.9, and it
may be downloaded from <http://www.markspace.com/downloads.html>.

3. FEATURE: v4 Conduit Profiles
Conduit Profiles are a powerful feature in version 4 of The Missing
Sync for Palm OS. They allow you to define groups of conduits that will
run during the next sync operation, and sometimes more importantly,
which conduits you do not want to run. Version 4.0 ships with three
pre-defined Conduit Profiles:
All Conduits - runs all installed conduits
Install - turns off everything except the install conduit
Backup - turns off everything except the backup conduit
Want to install a new application without syncing your calendar,
Documents to Go, etc.? Just select the Install profile and hit the sync
button. Need to get a quick backup before installing a new program on
the handheld? Just use the Backup profile.
It's simple to create and use a your own Conduit Profiles. Simply make
sure all the conduits you want to run are checked (and those that you
don't are unchecked), then click on the Profile pop-up menu and choose
Save profile... When you want to use that profile, just select it from
the Profile pop-up menu in the main window, or in the mini window, or
from the Mac OS X dock icon, or the Missing Sync menu bar icon (in
4.0.1).
Create your own conduit profiles to sync only certain data types when
you on a slow connection, such as across the internet or via Bluetooth,
or to get a quick contacts and calendar sync.

4. FEATURE: v4 Setup Assistants
Perhaps you just purchased a new handheld and want to use it's ability
to sync over Bluetooth, only you're not quite sure how to go about
setting it up. Or maybe you want to use The Missing Sync's internet
sharing feature for the first time. Version 4 provides several
step-by-step setup assistants to help you accomplish your task.
To access the setup assistants on internet sharing, AvantGo
configuration or Bluetooth and Network (including Wi-Fi)
synchronization, just click on the Help menu in The Missing Sync
application, choose the assistant you want, and follow the on-screen
guide.

5. FEATURE: v4 Menu Bar Icon (New in v4.0.1)
Mark/Space engineers are always working to add cool new features to our
products, and version 4.0.1 introduces a winner: The Missing Sync menu
bar icon. It lets you see, at a glance, whether The Missing Sync is set
to synchronize or internet sharing, and it changes appearance during a
sync or when the handheld is using the Mac's internet connection. It
also let's you change settings, like choosing Conduit Profiles or
selecting a different handheld, and it also lets you launch The Missing
Sync application.
