1. UPDATE: Missing Sync for Palm OS 4.0.2
    <http://www.markspace.com/downloads.html>

This update adds support for palmOne's Treo 650 and Tungsten T5, speeds
up synchronization operations and better supports many conduits,
including Now Up-to-Date, Photos/Media Conduit, NotePad and airline
schedule conduits. Version 4.0.2 also improves iTunes integration and
better detects conduit conflicts.

Mark/Space recommends that all users of version 4.0 download and
install this free update. The installer and complete release notes are
available from <http://www.markspace.com/downloads.html>.

If you have NOT yet upgraded to version 4.0, you may upgrade from any
previous version of The Missing Sync for only $19.95. Just go to
<http://www.markspace.com/palmosupgrade.php>.

2. UPDATE: Mark/Space Mail 2.0.3
    <http://www.markspace.com/downloads.html>

Mark/Space Mail 2.0.3 includes several improvements that improve
usability and reliability. Unsent emails in the Outbox are now
considered unread, so that they are visible when viewing unread emails
only. An issue that caused the Treo 600 to crash during lookup has been
fixed, and Mail now registers as a helper app so that Agendus Pro can
use it.

Mark/Space recommends that all users of Mail 2.0 upgrade to Mail 2.0.3.
The new version and complete release notes are available from
<http://www.markspace.com/downloads.html>.

3. REVIEW: Macworld Gives Missing Sync for Palm OS 4.5 Mice!
    <http://www.macworld.com/2004/11/reviews/missingsync/index.php>

A review of The Missing Sync for Palm OS, v4.0, appears in the December
2004 issue of Macworld magazine, and we're excited to say that they
awarded us four and-a-half mice! In comparison to PalmSource's HotSync
Manager, the Macworld reviewer said that The Missing Sync for Palm OS
"offers more features, a better user interface, and faster syncing."

To read the review, pick up a copy at your local newsstand or read it
online <http://www.macworld.com/2004/11/reviews/missingsync/index.php>.

4. SUPPORT: New Searchable Knowledgebase Now Online
    <http://www.markspace.com/support/>

Mark/Space's improved Support Knowledgebase is now online. Now you can
search by keyword (such as "bluetooth" or natural language (such as
"how do I sync via wi-fi"). You can also view and browse a list of top
support articles, and it's possible to rate the helpfulness of each
article in the Knowledgebase (which in turn helps us make things
better).

We hope you like our new Knowledgebase! Check it out at

5. USAGE TIP: Using Apple's iSync Palm Conduit

Apple provides a free Palm OS conduit that makes it possible to
synchronize your handheld data with Address Book and iCal. All you need
is The Missing Sync for Palm OS, v4, and the iSync Palm Conduit
available here: <http://www.apple.com/isync/download/>.

Version 4.0 of The Missing Sync for Palm OS eliminates the need for
Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager, so there's no need to install Palm
Desktop, as is mentioned on the Apple download page.

Simply install The Missing Sync (if it isn't already), then install the
iSync Palm Conduit. Next, you will need to activate the iSync Palm
Conduit. Just launch The Missing Sync, double-click on the iSync
Conduit, check Enable iSync for this Palm device, and then click Okay.

Before synchronizing with Address Book and iCal for the first time, you
will want to check the settings in the iSync application to choose
which contacts and calendars to sync.

Once you're happy with your settings, there's only one thing more that
you need to know. Unlike other iSync operations, synchronization with a
Palm powered handheld is initiated from the handheld (or the cradle),
and not from within iSync. When you tap or push the HotSync
button/icon, The Missing Sync will automatically launch iSync to
synchronize your contacts and calendar data.

For additional information on using the iSync Palm Conduit with The
Missing Sync, complete instructions (with screenshots) start on page 27
of the Missing Sync User's Guide.

6. USAGE TIP: Sync Your Pocket PC with Exchange
    <http://www.markspace.com/support/index.php?x=&mod_id=2&id=286>

If you use a Microsoft Exchange Server at work, you can synchronize
your Pocket PC handheld directly with the Exchange Server, even if it
doesn't have built-in Wi-Fi. You can use the Internet Sharing feature
of The Missing Sync for Pocket PC to connect your handheld to the
Exchange Server and synchronize data directly.

For setup instructions, please read our Knowledgebase article, How to
Sync your Pocket PC with Exchange Server
<http://www.markspace.com/support/index.php?x=&mod_id=2&id=286>.

7. COOL STUFF: Free Airline Schedule Conduits
    <http://www.traveldesk.com/productsDownload.html>

Many airlines have free Palm OS conduits for the Mac that provide
up-to-date schedule information right on your handheld. If you will be
doing any traveling this holiday season, having your favorite airline's
schedule right at your fingertips can be quite helpful.

Improvements in The Missing Sync for Palm OS v4.0.2 make it so that
these conduits are now fully supported. Most major airlines' timetables
are available as a free download. For a complete list and download
links, please visit GoldenWare Travel Technologies
